要旨： スントベリ教授は長年にわたってこの分野では定評のあるZoologica Scripta誌（ノルウェー科学文学アカデミー）の編集主幹をつとめてきた海産無脊椎動物体系学者です。その御経験から過去35年余にわたる体系学と分類学研究の変化について、特に、分類学者の減少傾向にある中での種同定、研究論文出版の傾向、種記載とDNA分類学などのトピックに焦点を当てた講演をしてくださる予定です。多くの皆様のご来場を期待しております。
A talk about how systematic and taxonomic research has changed over the last 35+ years. Although slightly biased from a nemertean perspective, it will have more general bearings. I will further talk about future challenges: species identifications when number of active taxonomists are declining; publication trends; species descriptions and DNA taxonomy.
