It shall be called the Kinki Branch of the Zoological Society of Japan, a Public Interest Incorporated Association.<\/p>\n
As a subordinate organization of the Zoological Society of Japan, it contributes to the development of zoology and fosters friendship among its members.<\/p>\n
Hold branch general meetings and branch regular meetings, and conduct operations necessary to achieve the purpose of this association.<\/p>\n
It is composed of members belonging to the Kinki Branch of the Zoological Society of Japan, a Public Interest Incorporated Association.<\/p>\n
The following officers and bodies shall be established.
\n(1) Branch Manager: The selection of the Branch Manager shall be based on the Branch Regulations of the Zoological Society of Japan, a Public Incorporated Association.
\n(2) Branch Representative Members: The election of branch representative members shall be based on the branch regulations of the Zoological Society of Japan, a public interest incorporated association.
\n(3) Branch Committee Members: Ten members shall be elected by mutual vote of the branch members. In the event of a tie in the number of votes, members with a longer history of membership shall be ranked higher. If the branch head deems it necessary, up to two additional members may be appointed. The term of office shall be two years, and serving for three consecutive terms shall not be permitted. Directors, auditors, and branch representatives cannot concurrently serve as branch committee members.
\n(4) Officers: The branch manager shall appoint a few officers from among the members. Their term of office shall be two years.
\n(5) Branch Committee: Composed of branch committee members, branch representative members, and directors, and convened by the branch chairperson. Secretaries shall attend the Branch Committee meetings.<\/p>\n
Branch expenses shall be covered by the branch activity funds. For branch general meetings and branch regular meetings, a meeting fee and other temporary expenses may be collected. Business reports and financial statements must be reported to branch members after the end of the fiscal year.<\/p>\n
It is necessary to submit the regulatory revision to the branch meeting for approval.<\/p>\n
These regulations shall come into effect on May 11, 2013.
\nPart of this regulation is revised and shall come into effect on May 11, 2019.<\/p>\n

2 The accounting secretariat shall be established within the Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University.
\n3 These Supplementary Provisions shall come into effect on December 31, 2024.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
1. As a service to the members of the Kinki Branch of the Zoological Society, the Kinki Branch will cover the costs for English proofreading by Ms. Elizabeth Nakajima.
\n2. Eligible for consideration are English-language papers whose first author is either a student member affiliated with the Kinki Branch of the Zoological Society of Japan or a regular member serving as a postdoctoral researcher.
\n3. When requesting English proofreading, this regulation applies as long as the student was a member of the Zoological Society for any period leading up to their graduation, even if the student has already graduated. In other words, if the student member is the first author, manuscripts written by faculty members after the student's graduation are also acceptable. If the faculty member is busy, proofreading can be received via email exchanges without having a direct meeting with Ms. Elizabeth Nakajima as stated in item 5.
\n4. Contact the General Affairs Secretary of the Kinki Branch and receive instructions before requesting English proofreading. When making the request, attach the manuscript file (docx, pptx, pdf, or a URL where figures or movies are uploaded) to an email (in English) and send it to Ms. Elizabeth Nakajima.
\n5. Have a direct meeting with Ms. Elizabeth Nakajima at either Kyoto University Graduate School of Science or Osaka University Graduate School of Science (selectable) to receive guidance on the revisions.
\nThese Regulations shall come into effect on May 27, 2016.<\/p>\n
