The 2022 Chubu Branch Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan was successfully held on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27.
I have prepared a brief report for your review.

Participation fee:1,000 yen (Free admission for students such as high school, college, and graduate students; Participation in the public symposium only is free.

For Presenters
Oral presentation (15 minutes including Q&A) and poster presentationWe welcome presentations regarding this topic by members (including members outside the Chubu region), non-members, and high school students.
If you can only present on either the first or second day, we will accommodate your schedule, so please feel free to apply.
Also,high school student oral presentationRegarding this, while I believe attending in person would allow not only for the post-presentation Q&A but also for discussions during free time, presenting online is also an option.
＊Poster presentationRegarding this, to avoid crowding, we would like to ensure wide spacing between the panels, display them over the course of two days so they can be viewed at any time, and secure sufficient core time for direct discussions with the presenters.
The panel size accommodates A0 (portrait), but we will ensure ample space to the adjacent panel, so you are also welcome to display specimens or similar items.
If you need multiple panels or have other special requests, we will be happy to accommodate you flexibly, so please include your requests when applying.
The submission period for presentations at the Chubu Branch Conference is scheduled until Friday, November 11.

＊High School Oral and Poster PresentationsRegarding this matter, we would like to provide as much support as possible for travel and transportation expenses. Therefore, when applying, please let us know the number of presenters, your mode of transportation, and your estimated travel expenses (a rough estimate is fine).

■Related special exhibition(10:00 - 19:00) @ Shinshu University Library
"The Dawn of Shinano Natural History in the Meiji and Taisho Eras and the Nagano Prefectural Normal School: Focusing on Yonesaburo Yazawa and Ptarmigan Specimens" is currently being held as a special exhibition at the Shinshu University Affiliated Central Library (1st Floor Exhibition Corner). This exhibition focuses on the collection of alpine flora and fauna specimens by Yonesaburo Yazawa, who served as the first principal of the Matsumoto Women's Normal School, one of Shinshu University's predecessor institutions, as well as on Yazawa himself.
We also introduce research results such as genetic analysis from stuffed specimens of alpine plants and Japanese ptarmigan from the Meiji era, which are over 100 years old, so please take some time to visit us (visitors from outside the university are required to complete procedures at the library entrance).
