About the Zoological Society of Japan Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Kawaguchi Award for International Conference Presentation Support
The Zoological Society has the Shiro Kawaguchi Fund as a fund for supporting young researchers and promoting zoology.
Established in 2006 through a donation by the late Professor Shiro Kawaguchi, the Shiro Kawaguchi Fund is a fund aimed at promoting zoology in Japan.
The Society awards the Kawaguchi Fund Kawaguchi Prize for International Conference Presentation Support, utilizing the Kawaguchi Fund, with the objective of supporting promising young members (including graduate students) who are expected to excel in the future in presenting at international conferences.
The target international conferences shall be those held from April to March of the following year, with the application deadline being the end of February every year. International conferences held in Japan and online international conferences are also eligible. Please note that deadlines and other details are subject to change, so please refer to the application guidelines for each fiscal year for details.
