Hokkaido BranchMessage from
The new fiscal year of the Zoological Society began on July 1, 2025. The annual meeting will be held in Nagoya in September, and the Sapporo meeting hosted by the Hokkaido Branch is scheduled for September of next year. While conference preparation itself is not a branch activity, once the Nagoya meeting concludes, we need to move forward in earnest with preparations for the Sapporo meeting. I sincerely ask for the cooperation of all branch members.
A decline in the number of branch members, including student members, has begun to affect branch activities, but we hope to revitalize these activities by actively organizing and promoting branch conferences and lectures. In addition, the next branch conference is scheduled to be held in Sapporo in March 2026, providing a platform for presentations by students and young researchers who are engaged in daily research, as well as high school students.
If there is anyone around you who is interested in zoology, please invite them to our branch conferences and branch activities, and by all means, introduce our society to them.
