Invitation to join the Zoological Society

The Zoological Society of Japan is an academic organization dedicated to the development and dissemination of animal science research. Its 2,700 members include researchers and graduate students affiliated with universities and research institutes, as well as elementary, junior high, and high school teachers. The members' areas of expertise cover most biological sciences focusing on animals, including taxonomy, phylogenetics, cell biology, biochemistry, physiology, endocrinology, embryology, genetics, ecology, and ethology. Furthermore, the faculties of the university-affiliated members span all science and technology-related departments, including faculties of science, education, agriculture, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and engineering.

By joining the society, you will be able to present your research at the annual meeting held every autumn. To everyone involved in animal science, please consider joining the Zoological Society!

Notes on new member registration

1. 1. Please use your mailing address, phone number, etc., as your contact information for the academic society.
   2. If the contact information is a university laboratory or similar, be sure to fill in the "Organization Name".
   3. Even if using your home address as your contact information, those affiliated with a university, research institution, etc., please include the organization name.
   4. If you currently do not have an affiliation, please enter a space. Data cannot be registered without entering a space.
   5. Please make sure to fill in your job title.
   6. The admission fee and annual membership fee (July 1 - June 30) are as follows. For details,Membership Fee RegulationsPlease see.
      Admission fee: 1,000 yen (general public only)
      Annual fee (General): 11,800 JPY
      Students: 3,000 yen (Waived for the 2020 academic year (July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021))
      Junior and senior high school teachers: 2,000 yen

Regarding the membership fee invoice

Please download and use this if you need it for submission to the university office or similar purposes. Furthermore, those who require the original copyzsj-society@zoology.or.jpPlease let me know if that is the case by then.

This organization is a qualified invoice issuer, and its registration number is T9010005004359. Membership admission fees and annual dues are exempt from consumption tax.
