The 2023 Chubu Branch Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan was successfully held from Saturday, December 2 to Sunday, December 3.

2023 Academic Conferences and Symposia Guide
Notice of the 2023 Chubu Branch Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan (2023/10/06, 11/10, 24)
This year's Chubu Branch Conference will be held on Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the Faculty of Bioresources Building, Mie University (https://www.bio.mie-u.ac.jp/campusmap/index.html).
On the first day, we will co-host a public symposium titled "Aquatic Animals and Sex (click here for the poster)" with the Mie University Graduate School Whale Research Center.
In addition, poster and oral presentations will be given, centered around members, high students, and technical college students.
On the second day, we will hold oral presentations centered around our members.
The conference registration fee is free for high school students, technical college students, university students, and graduate students, and 1,000 yen for the general public.
Registration for participation and abstract submission for the Chubu Branch Conference is open from Friday, October 6 to Friday, November 10, but those registering for participation only can still register after November 10.

Presenters are required to submit the presentation application form, which will be distributed at a later date, by November 20.

You can still register on the above website after 11/10.
For Presenters
Both oral and poster presentations are generally limited to members of the Zoological Society.
General non-members are only allowed to audit the lecture.
High school students (including technical college students) and students (including graduate students) can present even if they are non-members.
Due to program scheduling, we will ask you on the presentation application form to select: (1) Oral only, (2) Poster only, or (3) Either. Please understand that you may be asked to change your presentation format depending on the circumstances.
The time limit for oral presentations is 10 minutes for high school and technical college students, and 12 minutes for university students and the general public. This includes the question-and-answer session.
Oral presentations by high school and technical college students will be prepared in a hybrid format (presentations either in person or via Zoom). Oral presentations by university students and the general public, as well as all poster presentations, are scheduled to be held in person.
We plan to select the Best Presentation Award and Excellence Presentation Award from oral and poster presentations by high school and technical college students, as well as from oral and poster presentations by undergraduate and graduate students. Interest in participating in the selection process will be asked on the presentation application form.
