Regulations of the Chugoku-Shikoku Branch of the Zoological Society of Japan

I. Name
Zoological Society of Japan, Chugoku-Shikoku Branch
II. Objective
To contribute to the development of zoology and to promote friendship among members.
III. Members
(A) Regular Members: Members of the Zoological Society of Japan residing in the Chugoku-Shikoku region (Okayama, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Shimane, Tottori, Kagawa, Ehime, Kochi, Tokushima).
(B) Associate Members: Members of the Zoological Society of Japan residing outside the Chugoku-Shikoku region and other volunteers who wish to receive communications regarding the Chugoku-Shikoku Branch conferences and regular meetings.
4. Officers
(A) One Branch President (who also serves as a Director), elected in accordance with the Branch Regulations of the Zoological Society of Japan, a Public Incorporated Association.
(b) One director, elected in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the Zoological Society of Japan.
(C) Branch Representative Members: Elected by mutual vote among regular branch members in accordance with the branch regulations of the Zoological Society of Japan (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation). The term of office for branch representative members shall be two years, and three consecutive terms shall not be permitted. Directors and auditors cannot concurrently serve as branch representative members.
(2) General affairs and accounting secretaries: a few. Appointed by the branch manager. Term of office: 2 years.
(E) Audit of accounts: 1 person. Appointed by the branch manager. Term of office: 2 years.
(e) Prefectural committee members: One branch manager shall be commissioned for each prefecture. Term of office: 2 years.
(G) Convention and regular meeting coordinators: The Branch Manager shall appropriately request members in the host location upon holding conventions and regular meetings. Officers may be reappointed.
(C) Members of various committees: Committees may be established. Committee members shall be appointed by the branch manager. The term of office is two years. Committee members may be reappointed.
5. Board of Directors
It shall consist of the officers specified in Article 4 and shall, as a general rule, be held at the time of the branch convention.
6. Business
Branch meetings and regular meetings shall be held. The venues shall be appropriately selected based on the preferences of the members each time. At the branch meetings and regular meetings, members shall present achievements and introduce papers related to zoology, exhibit specimens, and conduct tours.
7. Membership fees
An annual fee of 800 yen is paid in advance to the headquarters, along with the Zoological Society membership fee, as branch dues. Branch dues are used for expenses related to branch activities.
VIII. Accounting Report
It is held at the general meeting that takes place during the annual branch convention.
9. Revision of Regulations
It needs to be submitted to the general meeting.

Agreed matters
1. The fiscal year of the Chugoku-Shikoku Branch of the Zoological Society of Japan, a public interest incorporated association, shall begin on July 1 and end on June 30 of the following year.
2. When a director resigns during their term of office, the runner-up in the director candidate election shall be moved up to fill the vacancy, and their term of office shall be the remaining period of the predecessor's term. If there is a tie in the number of votes, the member with the longer membership history shall be elected. When a prefectural committee member, branch executive, or accounting auditor resigns during their term of office, the term of office for the newly appointed person shall be the remaining period of the predecessor's term.
3. The payment of the 800 yen branch fee shall begin in January 1994.
4. As a rule, presenters at the branch meeting must be members of the Zoological Society of Japan.
