Kyushu BranchMessage from
Welcome to the website of the Kyushu Branch of the Zoological Society of Japan.
Members from various research fields related to animals belong to this branch and participate in its activities. Annual events include the branch meeting held around May for all branch members, regular meetings aimed primarily at members in each prefecture, and a colloquium held in a summer camp format for all branch members. Among these activities, the branch meeting and regular meetings are held jointly with the Kyushu-Okinawa Society of Botanists and the Ecological Society of Japan Kyushu Branch, allowing participants to experience research not only on animals but also on diverse organisms.
Our branch will continue to dedicate itself to the promotion and development of zoology in the Kyushu-Okinawa region, which fosters a unique and rich biota. We sincerely look forward to the participation in our branch's activities not only by researchers engaged in zoology, but also by the general public who have an interest in zoology.

Associate membership application
If you wish to join as an associate member belonging only to the Kyushu Branch, please contact the Kyushu Branch General Affairs (below). We will get back to you with information on how to join. Associate members can present at branch conferences, but cannot present at national conferences. They also do not have voting rights.
