Public Interest Incorporated Foundation, Zoological Society of Japan Officer Remuneration and Retirement Allowance Regulations

(Purpose)
1. The purpose of these Rules is to stipulate matters concerning the remuneration and retirement benefits of the directors and auditors of the Zoological Society of Japan, a public interest incorporated association, pursuant to Article 28 of the Articles of Incorporation.

(Regarding compensation and retirement benefits)
1. Remuneration for the officers, namely the directors and auditors of the Zoological Society of Japan, a public interest incorporated association, shall be set at an amount not exceeding 20,000 yen per year for each, and no retirement benefits shall be paid.
2. The amount of remuneration for each director and auditor shall be within an annual limit of 20,000 yen, with the remuneration for directors being determined by the chairperson upon a resolution of the board of directors, and the remuneration for auditors being determined by a resolution of the general meeting of members.
3. Reimbursement of actual expenses incurred in academic society activities is not included in remuneration.

Revision and Abolition of Regulations
1. The revision or abolition of these regulations shall be made by a resolution of the general meeting of shareholders.

Supplementary Provisions
1. These regulations shall come into effect on July 1, 2012.
2. These regulations shall be revised and take effect on October 1, 2024.
