Bylaws for Membership Dues of the Zoological Society of Japan
Based on Article 9, Paragraph 1 of the Articles of Incorporation of the Zoological Society of Japan, a public interest incorporated association, the membership dues of this corporation shall be established as follows.
(Membership fee)
Article 1. The annual membership fee for general members shall be 11,800 yen. Upon joining, general members shall pay an admission fee of 1,000 yen.
Article 2. The annual membership fees for members other than general members shall be as follows:
(1) Student members shall be 3,000 yen.
(2) The fee for elementary, junior high, and high school teacher members shall be 2,000 yen.
(3) Senior members (aged 65 or older) shall be 9,800 yen, of which members with a membership history of 30 years or more shall be 5,300 yen.
(4) Life members (members aged 70 or older with at least 35 years of membership) shall be exempt from fees.
(5) Overseas members shall be 7,000 yen.
(6) The annual fee for organizational members is 30,000 yen.
(7) The annual fee for supporting members is 20,000 yen per share.
(Reduction and exemption of membership fees)
Article 3. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding Article, membership dues may be reduced or exempted for any member falling under any of the following items by a resolution of the Board of Directors.
(1) Members for whom there are deemed to be reasonable grounds for a reduction or exemption
(2) Honorary Member

Article 4 Members must pay the annual membership fee (one year's fee) in advance by the end of June every year.
2 If a member fails to pay membership dues in arrears, the exercise of the rights listed in each item of Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Detailed Regulations of the Articles of Incorporation may be restricted.
Revision and abolition
Article 5: Amendments and abolitions of these Rules shall be made at the General Meeting of Members of the Zoological Society of Japan, a Public Incorporated Association.
Supplementary Provisions
These regulations shall come into effect on July 2, 2012.
