The Zoological Society is now accepting proposals for the "Zoology Experience Program," which will be organized and implemented by our society.
Some members of this academic society engage in various outreach activities, such as lectures and experiments for elementary school students, and programs that allow high school students to experience university-level research. This is a mechanism to broadly solicit donations to support such highly public-interest activities that also contribute to the popularization of zoology as an academic society project, and to support and host these activities using those funds.

2026 Academic Year Application Guidelines
1. Purpose
The Zoological Society of Japan, a Public Interest Incorporated Association, is seeking two implementers for the "Zoology Experience Program." The Zoology Experience Program is an initiative aimed at providing children and students with lectures and experiments, offering opportunities to deepen their understanding of zoology through research experiences. The roles of the implementers will be the planning and management of this project, as well as public relations activities for donations to the project.
2. Details and precautions for the zoology experience program
The target audience must be either elementary school students (upper grades), junior high school students, or high school students.
The number of students is expected to be around 20 to 40, but this can be adjusted as appropriate.
Please plan a program that allows participants to experience the fascination and fun of zoology through lectures, experiments, and other activities.
Please ensure safety considerations for participants. In case of any emergencies, make sure to enroll in accident insurance (event insurance).
When conducting animal experiments, please follow your institution's regulations concerning animal experiments. Also, please show consideration for animal welfare.
Although this event is organized by this academic society, co-sponsorship with other research institutions is also permitted.
You are required to submit an implementation report to this academic society after the completion of the program.
3. Recruitment of donations
Since the activity costs required for implementation are basically funded by donations to this academic society, the implementer shall take the lead in conducting publicity activities for donations.
Donations are accepted through the Syncable website. The Donation Committee of this academic society will set up the crowdfunding.
- The target donation amount should be set by the implementer according to the program content.
Our academic society will provide an activity grant of 100,000 yen per project. If the final total donation amount exceeds 100,000 yen, the remaining amount after subtracting 100,000 yen from the total will be additionally provided.
Please use the activity funds only for expenses necessary to implement the program, and return any unused amount to this academic society.
Donors will receive academic society merchandise from the secretariat as a return gift, and will also be granted priority access to the zoological experience program (described below).
4. Student Recruitment
Please have the implementer take the lead in recruiting participants.
Information on recruiting students will be posted on the Society's website.
The organizer will select and prepare the application method (such as using email or various forms).
If the number of course applications exceeds the capacity, please hold a lottery. In doing so, please prioritize donors of 3,000 yen or more. For example, preferential treatment such as doubling the winning probability may be considered. The details of the preferential treatment are left to the discretion of the organizer, but please treat donors of 3,000 yen or more equally.

Activity expenses (100,000 yen per project) will be paid by this academic society to the implementer.
Start of recruitment for students and donations

End of recruitment for students and donations
The remaining amount, obtained by subtracting the disbursed activity expenses (100,000 yen) from the total donation amount, shall be paid to the implementer.
July 1, 2026 or later
Conducted a zoology experience program
Submit the implementation report to this academic society
6. Qualifications
Assume that you are a member of this academic society.
7. How to Apply

If the research includes experiments requiring procedures based on guidelines and laws, such as animal experiments, please describe the measures and steps to be taken. If not applicable, please state so.

It shall be from Tuesday, April 28, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at noon.
9. Notification of Selection Results
Selection will be made by the society's Donation Committee and Education Committee, and decided through deliberation by the Board of Directors. Selection results will be notified via the society's direct mail. The notification is scheduled for Friday, May 22.
