The 91st Annual Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan will be held for three days from Thursday, September 3 to Saturday, September 5, 2020, with the Yonago Convention Center "Big Ship" in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, as the main venue.
Yonago City, the host location, is located in western Tottori Prefecture.

The 91st Annual Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan will be held for three days from Thursday, September 3 to Saturday, September 5, 2020, with the Yonago Convention Center "BiG SHiP" in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture as the main venue, under the following outlines.
Yonago is a regional city located in western Tottori Prefecture. It is also served by Yonago Kitaro Airport, making it accessible from Tokyo in just over an hour by air. Please note that Yonago is located about 100 km west of Tottori City, where JR Tottori Station and Tottori Airport are situated. Please keep this in mind when attending the event.
Regarding access to the convention venue, the Yonago Convention Center, it takes about 40 minutes from Yonago Kitaro Airport by limousine bus or the JR Sakai Line, and about 3 minutes on foot from JR Yonago Station (for details on access to Yonago City and the convention venue,tournament websitesee)

In this conference, general presentations will be held as both oral and poster presentations. You will be asked for your preference during the participation and presentation registration, so please select one. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request due to the limited number of oral presentation rooms. Registration for participation and presentations is scheduled to open on Friday, April 10, and close on Monday, June 1. Further details will be announced on the conference website and by email.

In addition to general presentations, we plan to invite proposals for numerous symposia and related meetings. Furthermore, at this conference, responding to longstanding requests, we plan to establish satellite symposium slots on the afternoon and evening of the day before the conference and invite proposals for related meetings. We encourage you to submit your proposals for both. Proposals for symposia and related meetings are scheduled to open on Tuesday, January 14, and close on Monday, March 16.

Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, looks out to Mt. Daisen, the highest peak in the Chugoku region, to the south, and Tottori Wagyu beef raised at its foothills is an exquisite delicacy that has even been chosen as having the best meat quality in Japan. To the north, it is close to Sakaiminato, one of Japan's leading fishing ports, making it rich in seafood. With Daisen craft beer and numerous award-winning local sakes, there is no shortage of culinary delights. Furthermore, during the tournament, it is also the season for juicy 20th Century pears.
Kaike Onsen is located about a 15-minute drive from the tournament venue, and there are numerous hot spring ryokan and day-use hot spring facilities. It might be a nice idea to relax in the hot springs after participating in the tournament.

Unless it's for an academic conference, you rarely get the chance to visit a regional city in the San'in region, but please take this opportunity to thoroughly enjoy Yonago, Tottori.

3. Program Overview:
   1. General presentations will include both oral and poster presentations and are scheduled to take place on the first and third days.
   2. Open symposia and related meetings are scheduled to be held on the 1st and 3rd days of the conference, but the day before the conferenceWednesday, September 2nd, afternoonWe have also allocated time slots for related meetings from on into the night, so please consider participating.
   3. The headquarters planning symposium, general meeting, and award winner lectures will be held on the second day.
   4. The social gathering will be held on the second day in the poster session area at the main conference venue, the Yonago Convention Center "Big Ship."
   5. We operate a digital WEB program and will distribute summary booklets of the program at the venue.
   6. Information regarding the program, including open-call symposia, related meetings, general presentations, various committees, and the Zoology Plaza, will be posted on the conference website as needed and announced via direct mail from the society secretariat.
   7. High school student poster presentations, public lectures, corporate exhibitions, and childcare rooms will be held as in previous years.
   8. As a first for this tournament, the day before the tournament (September 2) and the day after the end (September 6), we are planning three excursion courses around the Sanin region (a half-day course around Lake Nakaumi on the day before the conference, and a one-day course around the Tottori Sand Dunes as well as a 2-day/1-night course to the Oki Islands on the day after the conference ends). Details will be announced on the conference website and via direct mail from the secretariat.
4. Participation fee, banquet fee:
   The conference registration fee and banquet fee are set in three stages (Early pre-registration:May 11 (Monday)until, mid-pre-registration:June 1 (Mon)Until, late pre-registration:June 2hereafter). General presentation registration isJune 1 (Mon)is the deadline. Registration fees are lower for early participation and presentation registration, so please register early.
5. Others:
   1. There are many business hotels around the conference venue (within walking distance), but since it is the tourism season, we recommend booking as early as possible. In addition, Kaike Onsen is located about a 15-minute drive from the conference venue, offering a wide selection of Japanese-style inns. For details, please visit the conference website.
   2. Registration is free for undergraduate students who are not presenting.
   3. We will send information regarding the call for proposals for symposia and related meetings during January. The deadline isMonday, March 16Since we are planning to, please prepare if you are planning to organize a symposium or related meetings. Please also be aware in advance that we may not be able to accommodate your proposals or requests (regarding room size or date and time), and we may ask you to merge multiple symposia.
