Public Seminar (Jan 17, Fri): Tomonari Nozaki - The 50th Komaba Classroom on Behavioral Evolution and Ecology -

Members of the Zoological Society of Japan

My name is Yusuke Notomi from the University of Tokyo.
We are pleased to announce that an impromptu seminar by Dr. Tomonari Nozaki from NIBB has been hastily scheduled. Due to the short notice, we have very little time and are struggling to spread the word. We kindly ask for your cooperation in sharing this information with others.

We are announcing the hybrid format of the public seminar "Tomonari Nozaki – 50th Behavioral Evolutionary Ecology Komaba Class" to be held on Friday, January 17, 2024.

After earning his Ph.D. from Kyoto University and working as a postdoc at NIBB, the University of Tsukuba, and AIST, Dr. Nozaki is currently active as an Assistant Professor at the National Institute for Basic Biology.
You have conducted research on the evolution of parthenogenesis using termites and stick insects as models, including studies on nuclear phase doubling in termites and genome polyploidization in insect symbiosis systems.
Especially regarding polyploid genomes, as this is becoming a hot topic recently, it will be a valuable opportunity to hear about the latest research.
