The 92nd Annual Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan will be held for three days from Thursday, September 2 to Saturday, September 4, 2021, with the Yonago Convention Center "BiG SHiP" in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, serving as the main venue, under the following outline.
Yonago City is a regional city located in western Tottori Prefecture, and it is also equipped with Yonago Kitaro Airport,
It takes just over an hour to arrive by air from Tokyo. In addition, Yonago City is located about 100 km west of Tottori City, where JR Tottori Station and Tottori Airport are situated. When attending the event, please use JR Yonago Station and Yonago Airport.
For access to the convention venue, the Yonago Convention Center, it takes about 40 minutes from Yonago Kitaro Airport by limousine bus or JR Sakai Line, and about 3 minutes on foot from JR Yonago Station (for details on access to Yonago City and the venue, please visit the tournament website).
To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, all general presentations will be given orally. Registration for participation and presentations is scheduled to begin on Friday, April 9, and close on Tuesday, June 1. Further details will be announced on the conference website and via email.
In addition to general presentations, we plan to invite proposals for many symposia and related meetings. Furthermore, at this conference, we plan to schedule academic sessions from the afternoon to the evening of the day before the conference, and invite proposals for satellite symposia and related meetings. We strongly encourage you to submit your proposals. Proposals for symposia and related meetings are scheduled to open in late January and close in mid-March. Further details will be announced shortly on the conference website and via email.
Depending on the COVID-19 situation, we may decide to cancel the local event and switch to an online format. Thank you for your understanding in advance.

3. Program Overview
1) All general presentations are oral presentations. They are scheduled to take place on the first and third days.
2) Open symposia and related meetings are scheduled to be held on the first and third days of the conference, but
An academic session is scheduled from the afternoon through the evening of Wednesday, September 1st, the day before the conference.
Please consider this.
3) Headquarters planning symposia, general meetings, and awardee lectures will be held on the second day.
4) The social gathering cannot be held.
5) Operate a digital web program and distribute a summary booklet of the program at the venue.
6) Information regarding the program, including open-call symposia, related meetings, general presentations, various committees, and the Zoology Plaza, will be posted on the conference website as needed and announced via direct mail from the society secretariat.
7) Public lectures, corporate exhibitions, childcare rooms, etc., will be held in the same manner as in previous years.
8) Regarding the high school student presentations, we are currently considering the implementation method.
4. Participation fee, banquet fee
The conference registration fee and banquet fee are set in three stages (Early pre-registration: until Tuesday, May 11; Mid-term pre-registration: until Tuesday, June 1; Late pre-registration: from Wednesday, June 2 onwards). The deadline for general presentation registration is Tuesday, June 1. Earlier registration for participation and presentations offers lower fees, so we encourage you to register early.
5. Miscellaneous
1) There are many business hotels around the conference venue (within walking distance), but we recommend booking as early as possible. In addition, Kaike Onsen is located about a 15-minute drive from the venue, with numerous Japanese-style inns. Please check the conference website for details.
2) Registration fees for undergraduate students who are not presenting are free.
3) We will send out a separate notice regarding the call for proposals for open symposia and related meetings, which is scheduled to open in late January and close in mid-type March. We ask those of you planning to organize a symposium or related meeting to begin your preparations. Please also note that proposals submitted last year that were postponed to this year's conference must be submitted again, so please prepare accordingly. In addition, please be aware in advance that we may not be able to accommodate certain proposals or requests (such as room size, date, and time), and we may ask you to merge multiple symposia.
