[Purpose] Reiwa3（2021) year12月20Recently, the Council for Cultural Affairs report "On the Future State of the Museum Legal System" was compiled and presented to the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs. Following the report, the Agency for Cultural Affairs is expected to submit a bill to partially amend the Museum Act to the next ordinary session of the Diet.

In this forum, we will receive and share an explanation from the Agency for Cultural Affairs regarding the background and content of the report. In addition, by conducting a question-and-answer session with participants, including opinions and comments from museum-related organizations nationwide, as well as members of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Subdivision on Museums and its working groups, we will look ahead to the future direction for enhancing the museum system and the issues that need to be addressed.
