The AMED Innovative Medical Technology Research and Development Promotion Project Secretariat has decided to launch a new program called the Innovative Medical Technology Research and Development Promotion Project (Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Type).
We aim to pave the way for social implementation by introducing government funding to support collaboration between companies and researchers, focusing on research and development in areas where there is a need, but which companies find difficult to enter.

At the stage of societal implementation, we need companies to take the lead, so we aim to ensure effectiveness by having them contribute not only funds but also other resources alongside government funding.
Therefore, in this project, we plan to hold a workshop (a networking event for industry and academia) to create a framework linking academia and corporations, among others.

We look forward to the participation and presentations of those interested in joint research with companies, as well as those who are already conducting joint research and aiming for its further development.

For new businesses and workshops, we plan to invite applications for research and development related to medical technologies—such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and the healthcare sector—without limiting the fields.
In particular, we hope to attract a wide range of participants for the workshops, creating opportunities for collaboration with other industries and fields.
