Announcement of the National Institute for Basic Biology: New Model Organism Development Training Course

To all concerned parties

With the introduction of next-generation sequencers and genome editing technologies, biology, which has traditionally focused on model organisms, has entered a new era centered around the keyword diversity. To use a novel model生物 in your own research, an end-to-end research infrastructure is required to properly acquire the organism, decode and edit its genomic information, analyze its phenotype, and appropriately preserve and maintain it.

The Division of Marine and Environmental Omics, Center for Highly Accessible and Informative Life Sciences, National Institute for Basic Biology has supported the establishment of numerous new model organisms. In addition to our experienced and skilled staff, guest lecturers will also participate in holding the "New Model Organism Development Training Course," which gathers the necessary know-how for introducing and establishing new model organisms.
