Harvestman: The forest hermit whose appearance changes from place to place
By Nobuomi Tsurusaki | Published July 2024 | 2,400 yen (excluding tax)

Content
Opiliones, the harvestmen, those long-legged creatures seen in the woods that look like spiders but are not.
Because they are vulnerable to dryness and have low mobility, simply crossing a mountain or river creates differences in body color and shape, chromosome number, and other traits even within the same species.
There are even species that reproduce parthenogenetically or where the males protect the offspring.
A book on harvestmen, written by a world-renowned authority on these mysterious creatures who has dedicated 50 years to studying them.
