We are pleased to announce that the 40th International Prize for Biology Commemorative Symposium will be held as follows.
The award category for this year is "Biology centered on systematics and taxonomy," and the prize was awarded to Dr. Angelika Brandt, Professor at the Senckenberg Research Institute and Natural History Museum / Goethe University Frankfurt. To commemorate Dr. Brandt's award, this symposium brings together experts in deep-sea research, Himalayan research, and tropical research, as well as phylogenetic taxonomists specializing in microorganisms, algae, fungi, animals, and plants from both Japan and abroad, to deliver lectures from various perspectives on the evolution and diversity of life on this Earth.
