Regarding the nomination of candidates for the BioOne Ambassador Award
The BioOne Ambassador Award is presented to young researchers who are authors of articles published in BioOne in the previous year (in this case, 2025) and who have obtained a master’s or doctoral degree(master’s or doctoral) within five years (having earned their degree between 2020 and 2025), and the winner receives a cash prize of US$1,000. Nominations may only be submitted by the academic societies that publish the respective journals.For the 2026 call for nominations, we would like to nominate authors of papers published in *Zoological Science* using the following method. Information on past recipients and other details can be found on the page below. We encourage active applications to support your future international career.
[Recommender] Member of the Zoological Society of Japan
[Nominee] Authors of papers published in Zoological Science in 2025 (Volume 42) who are early-career researchers, ranging from graduate students to within 5 years of receiving their degree (Master's or Ph.D.) (they do not necessarily need to be the first author).
[Recommended Method] Send the following content by email to the Zoological Society Office ( zsj-society@zoology.or.jp ) send to.
1. Recommender's Name
2. Nominee's name and status (clearly indicating that they meet the qualifications)
3. Published paper title, volume, and page
4. Prepare an answer to the question "How does your research change the world?" in English, approximately 500 to 750 words, or as a video or audio presentation of 5 minutes or less.
[Deadline] Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Set the email subject to "Ambassador Award Nomination".
[Selection of Nominees] From among the candidates who applied by the deadline, the Zoological Science Editorial Board will select and nominate them to BioOne.
