A lecture by this year's International Cosmos Prize laureate, Dr. William James Sutherland (Professor and Head of the Research Group at the Department of Zoology, University of Cambridge, UK), will be held at the University of Tokyo on Saturday, November 16.

Dr. Sutherland is a pioneer in "conservation science" who has dedicated himself to diverse research and activities ranging from basic research to environmental policy recommendations, and is a researcher who has brought innovation to the field of ecology by advocating for "evidence-based conservation."
In this lecture, we will have a presentation on the theme of "For Effective Environmental Conservation Measures and Practices."
