The Zoological Society of Japan is one of the oldest academic societies in Japan, established in 1878. As a public interest incorporated association dedicated to promoting basic research on animals and the popularization and development of zoological sciences, we carry out various activities (such as nurturing young researchers, promoting gender equality, holding academic conferences, publishing academic journals, and providing research grants) to broadly share research results with society and make them a heritage of humankind. These public interest activities are supported not only by membership dues but also by donations from individuals, which are essential for the continuation of the Society. We sincerely ask for your interest and support in our initiatives—such as the Zoological Society of Japan as a platform for young researchers, our efforts toward gender equality, and our outreach and educational support activities related to zoological science.
The Zoological Society of Japan has recently launched a new donation website (Syncable) for those who wish to support the activities of our society. We kindly ask for your understanding of our initiatives, as well as your endorsement and support.
