On Friday, June 23rd, we will hold the kick-off symposium for the Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (B) "Contrarian Biology: The Mechanism of New Social Equilibrium Brought by Contrarian Strategies."

The venue is scheduled to be at RIKEN (Wako City, Saitama Prefecture), where Area Representative Miyamoto is affiliated, along with an online broadcast. In addition to introducing the research area, we plan to invite two guest speakers who are specialists in the study of animal collective behavior and group decision-making: Dr. Hisashi Murakami (Kyoto Institute of Technology) and Dr. Wataru Toyokawa (University of Konstanz). We cordially invite you to participate and would greatly appreciate your guidance and feedback regarding the startup of this research area.
