Members of the Zoological Society of Japan
The Biological Sciences Federation (BioSciJ), to which our society belongs, has started a petition requesting an increase in Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI).
Below, along with a brief background explanation, I am forwarding an email from the Life Science Federation.
President of the Zoological Society of Japan, Terakita
The Life Sciences Consortium's current initiative to request an increase in Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research consists of the following two parts. The email below from the Life Sciences Consortium corresponds to (2).
(1) Petitions submitted directly to the government by the Federation of Life Sciences and supporting academic societies
(2) Signatures on petition sites open to both researchers and non-researchers (open to anyone)
This academic society has discussed the matter in the board of directors and supports this initiative.
For the background, detailed information, and main purpose of these requests, please check the Shimoseikaren website.
