Theme: Exchange of various information and mutual interaction regarding aquatic alien species, focusing primarily on alien fish
Purpose: The purpose of this event is to bring together and present various information regarding the control of aquatic invasive species, such as alien fish including bluegill and largemouth bass, and to exchange information with one another, thereby raising awareness and knowledge regarding invasive species control and deepening mutual cooperation.
Content: Any information on alien fish is welcome regardless of the genre, such as eradication methods or ecology. Presenters and participants are widely recruited without being limited to Shiga Prefecture.
Particularly regarding the presenters, we will widely invite participation from the general public, including fishers, government officials, research institutions, academics, students, and anglers, to gather information from a broad perspective ranging from the current status, ecology, and eradication methods of invasive fish to fishing tips. By placing speakers and listeners on an equal footing and providing a question-and-answer session after each presentation, we aim to facilitate information exchange as well as mutual interaction among participants.
