The Department of Advanced Biosciences, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, The University of Tokyo, invites applications for one Professor position as outlined below.

1. Job Title / Number of Positions: Professor, 1

2. Qualifications:
a) Hold a doctoral degree (including equivalent degrees obtained abroad)
b) Someone who positions archaea and eubacteria, which are positioned in the early lineages of all organisms evolutionarily, as well as protist eukaryotes, as basal organisms, and while making these the main research subjects, focuses on interactions among diverse organisms and is capable of developing advanced life science research on various biological phenomena.
Those who are dedicated to fostering human resources equipped with solid knowledge, abilities, and a spirit of intellectual adventure.
Someone who can collaborate with other faculty members within the department as well as researchers both on and off campus, and strongly promote research and education through the integration of academic disciplines and international exchange, which the Advanced Life Science Department emphasizes.
c) Having a record of achievements in lecturing, student education, and research guidance, as well as the ability to manage organizational operations, etc.
