The Department of Biological Sciences, Graduate School of Science, Osaka University, invites applications for a professorship to conduct outstanding, original research covering all research areas related to biological sciences and their boundary fields, and to exercise leadership both nationally and internationally. Job Description: Lead and promote laboratory research, while engaging in education, research guidance, and administration (entrance examinations, various committees, etc.) for graduate and undergraduate students in the Department of Biological Sciences, Graduate School of Science, as well as university-wide general education and organizational management.

Qualifications: [Essential] Applicants must have:
i) A doctoral degree or equivalent professional expertise and/or achievement in the above field/s
ii) Sufficient research achievements and activity
iii) Business level or above Japanese language proficiency
Starting Date: On or after April 1, 2026 (the actual starting date is negotiable)
Term of Employment: No fixed term (Until the end of the fiscal year of reaching 65 years of age)
