The Japan Association of University Women has begun accepting applications for candidates for the 28th JAUW Morita Science Research Encouragement Award. The links for the application guidelines and other details are provided below.

■Purpose: This award was established in 1998, funded by a bequest from the late Junko Morita, a chemistry educator, for the purpose of encouraging research by female scientists specializing in natural sciences and fostering personnel who will contribute to the development of science.
■Target: Female scientists under the age of 40 (as of April 1, 2026) who have achieved outstanding research results in the field of natural sciences and are expected to contribute to the development of science*.
*If there are periods of leave due to childbirth, childcare, nursing care, etc., these periods will be excluded from the age. Please clearly state the basis for eligibility.
■ Number of awards: Up to 2 per year. A certificate and a supplementary prize of 500,000 yen will be presented.

Application deadline: Monday, November 17, 2025 (Must arrive by)
■ Selection result notification: End of March 2026
