We have received a notice from the Association of "Bright Future for Women Scientists" regarding the call for nominations for the 46th (FY 2025) Saruhashi Prize.

Those who wish to receive a recommendation from the Zoological Society are requested to check the following and submit the recommendation documents specified by the foundation to the Zoological Society of Japan Secretariat by 16:00 on Friday, October 31 ( zsj-society@zoology.or.jp Please send it to ).
The recommenders will be determined after deliberation by the Selection Committee for Foundation and Other Recommenders. *Please notify us only if you wish to apply through academic society recommendation.

■FY2025 "46th Saruhashi Prize" Application Guidelines

1) Target: Female scientists who have achieved outstanding research accomplishments in various fields of natural science in accordance with the purpose of the foundation (however, those who are under 50 years of age as of the recommendation deadline below)

2) Award details: Certificate of merit, secondary award of 500,000 yen in prize money, 1 recipient (1 person)

(1) Nominator (individual or organization, self-nominations also accepted), brief biography of the candidate for the award
(2) Research titles eligible for nomination
(3) Reason for recommendation (must fit on one A4 application page)
④ List of major achievements (Specified to 1 page. Even in unavoidable cases, an addition of up to 1 page is allowed.)

4) The deadline is November 30, 2025 (must arrive by).

5) The 46th Saruhashi Prize presentation ceremony will be held in Tokyo on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Please note that the documents will be used exclusively for the selection of the Saruhashi Prize and will not be returned.
