This time, Gai Hamamichi from Chiba University will talk to us about the swarm behavior of Drosophila. Mr. Hamamichi has studied the synchronization mechanisms of swarms by attempting interventional swarm-manipulation experiments that artificially adjust differences among individual members within a group, particularly their genetic makeup. Please enjoy this sophisticated research on collective behavior, made possible by Drosophila research, which allows for the use of various strains.
