Annual Meeting of the Tohoku Branch of the Zoological Society of Japan

The 2026 Annual Meeting of the Tohoku Branch of the Zoological Society of Japan will be held over a two-day period on Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Hikarigaoka Campus of Fukushima Medical University in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, as outlined below. General presentations will be given as oral presentations, while scientific research presentations by high school students will be poster presentations. The large conference room of the I&H Hikarigaoka Pharmacy, which opened in 2024, will be available as a venue. Additionally, the public lecture "Enjoying Zoology with Parents and Children" is scheduled to be held in Fukushima City in late September.

Details regarding this conference, as well as the application procedures for participation and presentations, will be provided in the announcement (Second Circular) to be issued in late May. The application deadline is scheduled for July 1, 2026 (Wed) by 19:00 (strict deadline). Please take note of this in advance, and we look forward to your participation.

Also, we kindly ask for your cooperation regarding PR activities directed at high schools in each district that wish to have a venue for presentations.

Participation fee: 500 yen (Please pay at the reception on the day) *High school students and accompanying persons are free.

Application deadline： Must arrive by 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 1st

Others： We are planning a social gathering after the general presentations conclude on Saturday, July 25.
