Dear Members of the Zoological Society of Japan
Thank you very much for your continued support. We are pleased to announce the 1st Evo-Devo Research Exchange Meeting, organized for young researchers interested in evolutionary developmental biology (Evo-Devo), titled "Investigating Animal 'Likeness' through Science." Five young researchers from Japan and abroad who conduct research from various perspectives using animals' unique traits as subjects will be invited to give presentations. In addition, we plan to provide opportunities for research exchange among participants through world-style poster sessions and a networking reception. We warmly invite active participation from everyone—ranging from undergraduate students who are interested in zoology or Evo-Devo but have not yet started research, to researchers vigorously advancing their own research themes.
Additionally, the 97th Annual Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan will be held the day after this exchange event. We also look forward to the participation of those planning to attend the Zoological Society meeting.
Event Overview
Date and time: Wednesday, September 2, 2026, 13:00-
Location: Lecture room on Hokkaido University's Sapporo Campus (will be announced to participants at a later date.)
Participation fee: 5,000 yen (Includes venue and networking party fees)
Capacity: 50 people
Registration deadline: Friday, July 31. However, registration will close as soon as capacity is reached.
Social gathering: Genghis Khan party in Sapporo city
