In recent years, cases involving issues other than specified research misconduct—such as inappropriate authorship and redundant publication—have been on the rise. To prevent the stifling of research activities and to ensure that researchers can engage in their work with peace of mind, it is important for academic societies, journals, universities, research institutions, and others to advance appropriate initiatives, including the formulation of rules, based on the actual conditions of research activities and the characteristics of their respective research fields.
Therefore, we are conducting a survey on authorship and duplicate submission. We would appreciate your cooperation.

1. Purpose of the Survey
To understand how researchers involved in research activities perceive authorship and duplicate submission, and to clarify characteristics by research field and perceptions across fields.

3. Publication of Results
The survey results will be published on the project website so that they can be utilized by researchers and participating academic societies. In addition, detailed analysis results are scheduled to be presented at academic conferences and in academic journals.
