The Institution of Professional Engineers, Japan will hold an event for young engineers.
In building a career, facing unexpected life events (such as relocation, childbirth and childcare, illness, or family circumstances) is inevitable. While these events have a significant impact on one's career, they also present new opportunities for growth.
In this event, through lectures and panel discussions, you will learn how to flexibly respond to unexpected events and advance your career positively.
In the lecture, we will welcome Misa Takasaki (Senior Lecturer at Ochanomizu University) as our guest speaker to deepen our understanding of diversity.
In the panel discussion, through case studies of engineers who have actually overcome life events, you can get hints on how to turn difficulties into opportunities.
Furthermore, in the group work, we will discuss how to approach our careers when life events occur, from the perspective of "planned happenstance theory." Through this, we aim to foster flexible thinking regarding career development and improve communication skills.
Through this event, you will learn to understand diversity in career development and how to leverage it.
