Dear Members of the Zoological Society of Japan

Thanks to the support of everyone who contributes to its activities, the Zoological Society is currently recognized as a tax-exempt organization, and donors to the Society are eligible for tax deductions based on the donation amount.

This year is the year for our once-every-five-years recertification as a tax-deductible organization. We have been proceeding with the procedures since around March, and today we received documents from the Cabinet Office stating that we were successfully recertified as a tax-deductible organization on May 21, 2024.

Although the current qualification is valid until September 30, 2024, the certification as a tax-exempt organization will remain effective without interruption from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2029.
