Proposals are now being accepted for symposia and related meetings at the 90th Annual Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan (Thursday, September 12 to Saturday, September 14, 2019, General Education Building, Sugimoto Campus, Osaka City University, Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka).
The symposium is scheduled for the evening of the first day and the morning of the second day, and the related meetings are scheduled for the evening of the first day. In particular, we look forward to proposals for symposia and meetings based on the free ideas of young members.
The project representative should fill in the required information on the designated "Project Application Form" and submit it to the 90th Tournament Executive Committee.2019symposium@rh.biophys.kyoto-u.ac.jp, attention: Takahiro Yamashita).

Open symposium
We will provide two 2.5-hour slots: one on the evening of the first day of the conference (Thursday, September 12) and another on the morning of the second day (Friday, September 13). You are free to determine the number of symposium speakers and the speaking time per person.
Related meetings
On the first day of the tournament (Thursday, September 13) in the evening, we will provide a time slot of up to two and a half hours.
Points to note regarding the proposal
・We will provide venues with a capacity of 80 people and 400 people, respectively; please enter the expected number of participants in the “Expected Number of Participants” section of the proposal.
Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your preferred date and time.
Since the number of venues is limited, in the event of a high volume of applications or duplicate content,
We may ask to hold this as a joint event with other symposia or related gatherings.
Also, please note that applications may not be accepted in cases such as when the same organizer applies for multiple symposia.
Please note that acceptance or rejection will be decided by the tournament executive committee based on the contents of the proposal.
If accepted, you will be required to submit an abstract of your presentation for publication in the proceedings.
We will notify you later regarding the submission method and deadline for the abstract. In addition, for speakers who are not members of the Zoological Society and plan to attend only the symposium or related meetings, we do not plan to charge a conference registration fee, but
Please make provisions for honoraria, travel expenses, etc., as the organizer.
The tournament preparation committee will provide the venue, microphones, LCD projector, and screens, but will not provide personal computers or laser pointers.
Furthermore, we will not provide lighting or microphone staff. We kindly ask that you arrange for these yourselves on the organizing end.
