Since its first edition was published in 2017, this book has fortunately been adopted as a textbook at many universities and elsewhere.
The 2023 revised edition extensively features remarkably advancing biotechnologies throughout, such as next-generation sequencers and mesenchymal stem cells active in regenerative medicine. In addition, the content on respiration and photosynthesis, immunity, nerve impulse transmission, biodiversity, and the mechanisms of evolution has been expanded.
To help readers gain a deeper understanding of the book's content, a lecture video by the author has been published on YouTube (see the URL below).
Therefore, it makes an ideal textbook for active learning and flipped classrooms.
