Call for Applications for the 3rd Photonics/Aspiring Female Researcher Award (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Award)

The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Japan invite applications for an award recognizing promising young female researchers with high potential for international success, aimed at contributing to the further advancement of female researchers in Japan. We look forward to receiving many applications.

■Target
Female researchers (including postdocs) up to approximately 5 years after obtaining a doctoral degree as of April 1, 2024*, graduate students (doctoral program), and persons equivalent thereto.
* Consider periods of suspension of research activities due to life events, etc.
covering a wide range of research fields related to science and technology
Nationality: Japanese, Residence: Any

■Content
Grand Prize: 1 winner
Prize money: 1 million yen
Additional prize: Expenses covered for a trip to Poland and a stay to visit research institutions, etc. (Stay is approximately 2 weeks. Travel is anticipated for autumn 2024)

○ Encouragement Award: 2 people
Prize: 500,000 yen each
