Public Seminar: Taku Nishimori, Tomoko Sakiyama, Toru Moriyama "The 1st Systems Behavioral Science Special Seminar"

Dear Members of the Zoological Society of Japan

I am Yusuke Notomi from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo.
We are pleased to announce the 1st System Behavioral Science Special Seminar, which will be held in a hybrid format on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Recently, out of concern that young researchers interested in behavioral ecology, neurophysiology, and related fields lack opportunities for discussions dedicated to elucidating behavioral mechanisms, I have started proposing a new academic discipline called "Systems Ethology."
the session at the international conference SWARM held last month in September
“Systems Ethology: Toward Elucidating the Design Principles of Animal Behavior”
Starting with this, we are currently planning various events.

This time, we have decided to invite professors (Dr. Taku Nishimori, Dr. Tomoko Sakiyama, and Dr. Toru Moriyama) who are already conducting cutting-edge research in ”System Behavioral Biology” at the traditional Komaba Classroom for Behavioral Evolution and Ecology, to provide an opportunity to deepen our understanding of ”behavioral systems” through their respective methods and findings.
This will be held as a public seminar, so please feel free to join us.

Registration Deadline: November 8, 2024

The streaming URL will be sent at a later date.
We would appreciate it if you could also share this information with those around you.
