The National Institute for Biology has started accepting applications for a specially appointed associate professor or specially appointed assistant professor in the Division of Biosociology, Center for Multilevel Biology.
Job description
(1) As a specially appointed faculty member in the Division of Biosociology at the Center for Hyper-Hierarchy Biology, cooperate with Head Shinichi Higashijima and other members of the Center for Hyper-Hierarchy Biology to promote basic biological research and participate in the management of the Center. Specifically, perform the following duties.
Conducting basic biological research, including hyper-hierarchical biology, on animal behavior and interspecies interactions by utilizing advanced omics analysis, imaging, and AI technologies.
Make various findings and analysis technologies available for joint use and collaborative research. Provide appropriate advice and support from a technical and scientific perspective to researchers both within and outside the National Institute for Basic Biology.
Plan and implement research meetings to improve the level of biosociology among domestic and international biology researchers.
(2) In charge of administrative operations at the National Institute for Basic Biology.
(3) If necessary, engage in administrative duties and graduate education at The Graduate University for Advanced Studies.
