Lecture title
Capturing Ecosystem Dynamics from Lakes

(Abstract)
I have advanced ecological research by actually investigating various lakes, including Lake Biwa, and by utilizing previously accumulated data. In particular, I have been able to demonstrate the theory of food chain length—which is the structure of the food chain—and capture past shifts in biological communities alongside anthropogenic impacts such as climate change. Furthermore, I am attempting analyses using cutting-edge informatics technology to predict future ecosystem dynamics. In this lecture, I will introduce these latest studies and discuss how ecology will unfold in the setting of lakes moving forward.
