Here is the announcement regarding a bioimaging-related training course from the National Institute for Basic Biology.

1. "Practical Microscopy Optics from the Basics (OPT)"
Lecture and Practical Training on the Basics of Microscopy Optics: "Practical Training in Microscopy Optical Systems for Beginners (OPT)" will be held at the National Institute for Biology on the following two dates.
A: December 15 (Mon) - 16 (Tue), 2 days (On-demand lectures + On-site training)
B: December 17 (Wed) - 19 (Fri), 3 days (on-site lectures + on-site training)
(The content of both A and B is the same, but the lecture format differs.)
This is a hands-on training course to learn optics through lectures on the fundamentals of microscope optics to advanced microscopy techniques, as well as on-site microscope assembly.
Application deadline: Friday, October 31, noon (note the time)

2. "Biological Image Analysis Training Course (BIATC)"
The "Biological Image Data Analysis Training Course 2025" will be held in person from Monday, December 22 to Wednesday, December 24 at the National Institute for Basic Biology (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture).
This course provides hands-on training on the basics of image processing and analysis, primarily for biological researchers. In addition, it offers practical training on the minimum programming skills required in the image processing workflow, using ImageJ's macro functionality as a subject.
Application deadline is October 17.
