We have received a request for cooperation with the "Survey on the Employment Status of Researchers, Faculty Members, etc." from the Human Resources Policy Division, Science and Technology Policy Bureau, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
This survey investigates the period until researchers and faculty members who have concluded fixed-term labor contracts acquire the right to apply for conversion to indefinite-term contracts.

This is conducted for the purpose of understanding the enforcement status of the Act on Special Measures concerning Labor Contract Act for University Researchers, etc., and the employment and development status of researchers, etc., and utilizing this information for future policy considerations.
As previously notified through each university, the deadline for responding to the questionnaire is approaching.
Therefore, if you have not yet responded, please do so by Friday, November 7.
Please note that those who have already responded do not need to take any further action.

The survey results will be published on the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology website at a later date and are scheduled to be utilized for future policy considerations related to the employment and development of researchers and educators.

A person who engages in operations related to the planning, securing of funds, acquisition and utilization of intellectual property rights, and other management and administration related to research and development, etc. (limited to those requiring specialized knowledge and ability), and who has concluded a fixed-term labor contract with a research and development corporation or an entity that establishes a university, etc.
(3) Faculty members and other personnel who have entered into employment contracts with a fixed term based on the Act on Term of Office of University Faculty, etc. (Term of Office Act)
