Dear Members of the Zoological Society of Japan

On March 26-27 (Thu-Fri), we will hold the final symposium of the Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (B) "Contrarian Biology," titled "The Current State of Contrarian Biology: Exploring Universal Principles in Living Populations Harboring Contrarians," at Campus Plaza Kyoto (with a partial online live stream). While summarizing the three-year research results and overall activities of the four planned research groups, we plan to discuss how Contrarian Biology can further develop and contribute to existing research fields. We cordially invite you to attend and share your opinions, insights, and proposals with us.

This symposium features three components: 1) early-career researcher presentations, 2) three-year progress reports from the four planned research groups, and 3) workshops. Online streaming is available only for part 2.
