Meiji Gakuin University's Center for Liberal Arts is seeking teaching assistants (part-time staff) to support experiments and practical training classes for the liberal arts course "Methodology in Biology," which is open to students from all faculties.

Work is only on Fridays from 10:00 to 13:30, and the number of classes is also limited.
Spring semester: 1 person
Fall semester: 1 person
(It is also possible to be in charge of both)

We would be delighted if individuals who wish to apply their research and experimental experience in an educational setting, or those with an interest in university education, would consider this opportunity.

■ Spring Semester (1 person)
Period: May 8 - June 26, 2026 (Fridays / 8 sessions in total)
Subject: Biological Methodology A: "Practical training on investigating campus biodiversity focusing on insects"
Business operations
- Assisting students with insect collection and identification
Practical training preparation and cleanup
Safety management assistance during outdoor activities

This is a practical training course where students learn by interacting with and observing the campus's diverse living organisms. Last year, the number of applicants reached a record high, making it a popular course with a 9-to-1 competitive ratio.

■ Fall Semester (1 person)
Dates: November 13, 20, and 27, 2026 (Fridays / 3 sessions in total)
Subject: Biological Methodology B: "Experience Gene Technology" Class
Business operations
- Assistance with technical instruction for students (operation of micropipettes, PCR, electrophoresis, etc.)
- Experiment preparation and cleanup

This content allows you to utilize your experience in molecular biology experiments in a student learning environment.
This is also a popular course with a high number of applicants, requiring a selection process based on pre-assignments.

Although both subjects are for a short period, it is an educational setting where we can share intensive time with the students.
