In addition, a selection committee for the Myohara Mariko Research Encouragement Grant, which is distinct from the Academic Award Selection Committee, conducts a rigorous selection process and, as a rule, recommends three candidates annually to the Board of Directors, which then deliberates and determines the grant recipients.
