At the meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan Board of Directors held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM, two OM Prize candidates were recommended by the OM Prize Selection Committee.
As a result of deliberation, the Zoological Society of Japan Board of Directors has decided to award the 2024 Zoological Society of Japan OM Award for Encouragement of Female Researchers to the following two individuals.

Project Researcher, Kanazawa University (JSPS Research Fellow, RPD)
Memory control mechanism through activity-dependent functional changes in dopaminergic neurons

Matsumura Ritsuko
Assistant Professor (Tenure Track), Institute of Time Studies, Yamaguchi University
Research on Novel Functional Units in the Molecular Mechanism of Mammalian Circadian Clocks
