2025 Suntory Foundation for Life Sciences SUNBOR GRANT
The Suntory Foundation for Life Sciences, a public interest incorporated foundation, has started accepting applications for the 2025 SUNBOR Grants as outlined below.
This is a research funding grant (1 million yen per year for 3 years) for researchers in the field of life sciences who are 45 years old or younger, or within 18 years of obtaining their Ph.D. [Deadline: Wednesday, July 16]

Applications for the large-scale grant (10 million yen x 5 years), Suntory SunRiSE, have also begun (please note that the deadline for this is June 29).

○ This year's recruitment topics
Discovery of overlooked molecules and elucidation of their associated biological phenomena through integrative analysis of omics and heterogeneous data
○Task description
Omics analysis, which comprehensively analyzes target substances and compares their correlation with biological phenomena to estimate key molecules and molecular mechanisms, is advancing. Meanwhile, advances in molecular imaging and single-cell analysis are making it possible to capture quantitative changes and spatiotemporal localization information of specific molecules in detail. Integrating omics analysis focusing on unique biological phenomena with other data is expected to advance our understanding of biological phenomena. This grant supports cutting-edge research that elucidates biological phenomena and their mechanisms involving previously overlooked molecules, based on uniquely acquired data.
