The Suntory Foundation for Life Sciences is now launching the "SunRiSE (Suntory Rising Stars Encouragement Program in Life Sciences)."
SunRiSE provides 10 million yen in funding over five years to 10 young researchers aged 45 or younger.
Application Project: Elucidation of the mechanisms of biological phenomena centering on molecules
Requirements:
Principal Investigators (PIs) or researchers aspiring to become PIs (regardless of current position or tenure status)
45 years old or younger as of April 1, 2025
Applications from overseas are accepted (provided that the research base is relocated to Japan).

Application Period: May 26, 2025 – June 29, 2025
